MURRA Indigenous Business Masterclass

Our flagship business program

The MURRA Indigenous Business Masterclass is named after the word for "fish net" in the Woi Wurrung language of the Wurundjeri people of Naarm, Melbourne.

It represents a gathering of Indigenous entrepreneurs and professionals who are joined by a common purpose to develop business opportunities for the benefit of their communities.

If you are an Indigenous entrepreneur or professional and would like the tools to grow your business and develop economic opportunities for your community, this is the program for you.

For Indigenous professionals:

  • Who are small business owners, entrepreneurs or professionals, wanting to develop their business knowledge and confidence

For Indigenous managers:

  • Who work in corporations, government, not-for-profit, prescribed bodies corporate, land councils and other traditional owner entities.

The following dates are for face-to-face modules in Melbourne at the Melbourne Business School.

16 - 19 September, 2024.

Graduate Certificate of Indigenous Business Leadership

Enabling Indigenous business sector practitioners to build on their own leadership and business practices. 

This course will teach you to adopt an interdisciplinary, international and evidence-based approach to respond to the complex and growing challenges faced by Indigenous business leaders working in a range of professions and industries. 

An online program with a fully Indigenised curriculum, the GCIBL is taught by internationally renowned First Nations academics and is unique in Australia. Students from across Australia will be provided with opportunities to work together to address the increasing challenges and opportunities in the Indigenous business sector with a key focus on the practice of Indigenous leadership. 

 Who is it for? 

This course is designed for Indigenous business owners, professionals and managers at different stages in their careers.   Students interested in exploring a career in research leading towards a PhD are encouraged to discuss this further with the Program Co-ordinator.
