About Damien
Damien Foley is a Gumbaynggirr man raised on Dunghatti country in Kempsey, NSW. He has worked with Kinaway Victorian Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce since 2019 while undertaking the MBA part-time at Melbourne Business School. Previously, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Newcastle, he had a professional career as an accountant in both public and commercial practice.
Damien later joined the family business and, since 2010, he has been involved in the Indigenous business sector through his role as Treasurer of the South-East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce. He has been invited to sit on numerous community boards and committees around business and procurement and has spoken at various conferences and seminars across Australia on the subject of Indigenous business, procurement and accounting.
